I love the smell, get clean clothes, keeps loooong time, I thought that someone would be crazy to spend almost $ 50 for a box of detergent ... and when I had my Miele washing machine (front-loading, super-efficient, great German engineering, the ring of super-high quality). Miele recommends Persil laundry detergent, since they follow the European way of doing the laundry - smaller loads with less water and less detergent and no fabric softener added (or a pinch of their brands accepted). I passed the sticker shock and ordered color Megaperls. That box lasted 14 months, since you only use 1-2 tablespoons per load, depending on what is lava. I 5-9 loads of laundry a week of jeans, khaki pants, shirts, hoodies, shirts, socks and underwear and towels. Everything comes out clean and fresh without all the detergent smell unbearable. Overpriced junk I never had a Miele dishwasher before it owned, but I had heard the hype: cleans great, super-quiet, saves water, etc. So I bought one and found that most of the hype is true. First, it is not so quiet. I would not call it strong, but not quieter than my old Kenmore was half the price. It is not very flat. I do not understand how a Miele dishwasher standard size and made them hold only 2 / 3 of the dishes from my old Kenmore, but somehow they did. The shelves just stinks. But worst of all, this is ugly dishwasher for cleaning. In a typical load of dirty dishes (no hand washing), 6-10 articles can not be cleaned. Offenders are the plates of the foreground and background on the bottom rack, all the plate in the upper (third) rack and cut down. They end up with bits of food. Remember, I am not a novice, a dishwasher load, and I followed the models recommended in the instructions. Simply put, the cleaning capacity of the worst I've seen in a modern dishwasher, as this is also the most expensive machine that I ever owned, it is bad. I had the machine checked by a Miele service technicians, who found nothing wrong. So I used the Miele "love it or return" policy, but I got my money back and bought a KitchenAid KUDE70CVSS for a few hundred dollars less. You can also read my review of KUDE70CVSS from Amazon. (Hint: the title is: "This dishwasher rocks !!!") pricey but worth it. Works well I bought eight months ago to be replaced and el cheapo unit from Costco that came with the house we bought. After a good and very hard water, there were not many dishwashers that have a built in water softener, many of the German units do (including Bosch), I can not remember why I chose this over Bosch, but I am very happy with. The carriers are very flexible and are painted stainless steel, which means that when the paint peels off the trays, you will not see rust is cool? So far it has eaten a box of salt in about 7 months. I experimented a bit 'cleaner of the electrosol sign with the ball in the middle that works better, but I will try another brand later. There are a couple of handfuls I have to say. There is a one-digit numeric LED on the front and a group of status LEDs, the only time that the number of LED performance is when using the dishwasher timer that is useless for me, because this thing is so freaking calm . programming the amount of salt and rinse is abit of a joke, to return to the numerical results. instead of giving you the actual number, count the number of "flashes the status light! wow. stupid very stupid. Regarding advertising reprogrammability of the group - I'm not sure why I even need this if HDMI is not exactly the rules is to maintain a revolving freaking dishwasher. ;) @ $ 1500 A purchase is difficult for us but it was pretty good so far. If you have hard water, rather than buy a water softener all home, you can buy this dishwasher or some of the Bosch / Thermodor (same company). I could not find an American who has made dishwashers built in, otherwise I would have had a Maytag or GE. Overall great unit, very quiet. driving while watching TV, no problem at all. My last unit before we moved was a Maytag, it was pretty noisy, I always have time to run 5 or 6 in the morning, so he should not have heard clunking away ..

Best dishwasher we've ever had has had one of these for 6 months. It is very quiet and clean the dishes very well. Easy to install and use (in fact only using the "Sensor" and "high points", even if the programs.) It took a while to get used to the layout options - there are many. We love the silver tray. The only thing I wish was a small display that shows time to completion. Oh, and did I mention how quiet it is? I work at home all the time and our old dishwasher (Whirlpool very basic) before me crazy. I can not even hear when I work.

A very satified customer Our house was built in the late 90s with GE Profile appliances. Being aware of the environment, we follow a rule not to replace a unit until it is broken. Recently went our dishwasher broke with a very ugly engine noise. The problem is that we have an opening of 33 "and dishwasher is about 3 / 8" below the floor. So even if there is enough height inside, it is impossible to put most dishwasher (over 33) without opening the counter. We looked at all models of GE, Maytag, LG, Samsung, etc etc and could not find anything that has an adjustable height. Finally, a salesman at Sears calmly told us that Honey should look at another store. This seems to be a great idea. Miele European model can be adjusted from 32 "to 34" with almost the same capacity as a U.S. model. It is very expensive but we reckon one of these days we need to rebuild our kitchen and want to buy something that we can keep the future in the kitchen. It's very nice that we do not wait long for an EU model setup entered and managed the old and installed a new GE Miele snatch. Here's what we saw: 1 Miele installer allows you to bring the two front lift slightly and the whole machine is lifted simultaneously. This gives the installer this is a perfect fit in our room. Smart Genie! 2. Their front is difficult to install without professional help, because it comes as a separate room so that customers can customize to their liking. The high cost, low quality junk with lots of dishwashers property for decades, I can say with absolute certainty that my Miele Optima is the best kitchen appliance I purchased. Because of the high cost and the name Miele, together with a statement that the machine would work for ten years at least, I expected to be very satisfied (Note: Ten-year warranty "is not a guarantee, and certainly not in the guarantee ) It is certainly a stylish and elegant look machine is very quiet while washing dishes, and is very easy to use. The ship compartment was a very nice addition, and it felt like the machine can have many dishes that honeymoon phase lasted received.

Somat Salt is used to soften water in dishwashers. Water from the tap often contains lime. In order to reduce the lime deposited on dishes in the dishwasher, some dishwashers have a water softening unit which withdraws the harmful lime from the water. Table salt is not suitable for water softening in dishwashers because it usually contains insoluble components which can affect the efficiency of the water softening unit. All Miele dishwashers have a built-in water softener to optimize cleaning results. To function perfectly, this softening unit requires special salt. Miele recommends using Somat Salt. Somat is made in Germany by Henkel and imported into the US by Miele.

Machine needs this salt, I have a Miele dishwasher in need of salt. I raced for a while 'with light "salt", and I had problems (exhaust / intake port) and cycle arrest at mid-cycle, and had to be restarted. Since the addition of salt, dishwasher has worked well. Salt is necessary for the construction of sewage treatment plant. You can not get locally, and this was the best deal I found. Excellent Perfect for the fanatic Honey. Could not find elsewhere.
